Dispute & Transaction Policy

Dispute & Transaction Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Nautical Marketplace is a classifieds platform. We do not process payments, hold funds, or act as an
intermediary in transactions between users. This policy explains how disputes and transactions are
handled.

7.1 Transactions Are Between Users
Any sale, purchase, charter, or other arrangement is a private contract between the buyer and the
seller (or the parties involved). Nautical Marketplace is not a party to that contract and has no obligation
to mediate, refund, or compensate either party.

7.2 No Payment Processing by the Platform
We do not currently offer built-in payment, escrow, or transaction services. Users are responsible for
arranging payment methods, contracts, and delivery or transfer of ownership themselves.

7.3 Recommended Practices
For your protection we recommend:
• Never send money or deposit funds without verifying the other party and the item
• Use independent professional surveys and title searches for vessels
• Consider using a reputable escrow service or maritime lawyer for high-value deals
• Keep written records of all communications and agreements
• Meet in safe, public, or professionally supervised settings when inspecting vessels

7.4 Platform Role in Disputes
If a dispute arises between users:
• We may, at our sole discretion, review reports of policy violations and take action against
accounts (e.g., remove listings or suspend accounts)
• We are not obligated to resolve the commercial dispute itself or to force a refund or performance
• Users should pursue remedies under the applicable contract and local law (courts, arbitration,
consumer protection authorities, etc.)

7.5 Reporting Fraud or Illegal Activity
If you believe you have been the victim of fraud or illegal activity connected to the Service, report it to
us immediately and also to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities. We will cooperate with lawful
investigations.

7.6 Changes
We may update this policy if we introduce payment, escrow, or other transaction-related features in the
future. Any such changes will be reflected in an updated version of this page
